  Bromine-based, phosphorus-based, or halogen-free flame retardants are added to PP/PE substrates. These flame retardants decompose upon heating, absorbing heat or forming a char layer that isolates oxygen. The flame-retardant rating reaches UL94 V-0 (self-extinguishing within 2–10 seconds after the flame is removed).
